About Ziyanda Tshangana

Ziyanda Tshangana (born Ziyanda Qwane) is a dynamic and versatile South African gospel artist, celebrated for her anointed voice, heartfelt ministry, and unwavering faith. Born and raised in Tsomo, in the Eastern Cape, Ziyanda began her musical journey in Sunday School, eventually singing in worship teams across various churches and entering national competitions during her youth.

She was later discovered through videos of her singing at home, shared on YouTube and Facebook, where her voice and worship style caught the attention of a growing audience.

In 2020, Ziyanda released her debut single, Mkhos’onomandla, officially launching her solo career. Around the same time, she joined the Indumiso yeTende Group, with whom she recorded four seasons. Season four marked her final contribution with the group, as she transitioned fully into her solo ministry.

In 2021, her powerful song Angingedwa won the Best Itende Song at the SABC Crown Gospel Music Awards, where she also performed live on the awards night—an unforgettable moment in her career.

In 2022, she followed up with the release of Sinomhlobo onguJesu, a deeply spiritual single that further expanded her reach.

In 2023, she featured on Zanele Mashabane’s album Ngine Cule, lending her vocals to a project that was widely received in the gospel community.

In 2024, Ziyanda hosted her first live recording at the East London Guild Theatre, a sold-out event that marked a major turning point in her career.

On March 28, 2025, she released her debut full-length album, Seek Ye First The Kingdom of God. The 12-track album features chart-topping singles Sibong’igama lakho and Ulihlathi Lethu Thixo, and powerful collaborations with gospel greats Putuma Tiso, Sindi Ntombela, and Betusile Mcinga.
